Hello, my name is … You know, my name really doesn’t matter. I’m a grateful member of Al-Anon. I’m grateful to the Al-Anon program for what it has taught me about myself. More important, I’m grateful to God for leading me to recovery in Al-Anon.

 Whether one is an alcoholic, an addict, a codependent, a gambler, or whatever, we all have the same problem—we tend to want to have things our own way rather than God’s way. When we stray from the path He has for us, we wind up with more trouble than we can handle on our own.

Recovery 101 is an introduction to the Biblical basis behind the principles of recovery for Christians interested in recovery or for those in recovery who want to know more about Christianity. However, it isn’t be a proper substitute for doing the real work of recovery in a fellowship such as AA, NA, Al-Anon, Celebrate Recovery, etc.

The class also provides an opportunity for those of us already in recovery to share our experience, strength, and hope in a Christian context.

The class is open to all interested persons. The only requirement for membership is a desire to be in recovery.
